In a very short time The Wordarium has built a reputation for superb open-mic sessions and cracking headline poets, including Dominic Berry, Beth Train-Brown and Verity Writes! From the first session in October 2022, the Herbarium Cafe has been packed and the evenings have been entertaining, thought-provoking, moving and fun.

So we are delighted that The Wordarium is coming to Litfest and The Storey for one evening only, but on the earlier date of the 22nd and the earlier time of 7.00pm.

If you would like to sign up for one of the 10 coveted 5-minute open mic slots, please email woollyhatpoems@gmail.com and pledge to take up your slot on the night. Open mic sign up goes live at 6pm, Wednesday 8th March and are on strictly a first come, first served basis. If you would like to come and listen to what poets in the Northwest’s poets are thinking and feeling, this is the place to be.

The headline poet this month will be the amazing Genevieve Walsh reading from her latest collection ‘Vitriol Works’.

All attendees, including open mic readers, must register for a free ticket to reserve their spot.
