Whether it's a high tech STEM camp, a remote ranch, or even Paris, when it comes to these characters, there's always something afoot! Tune in to hear about these Edgar Award finalists! The Edgar Awards celebrate books and short stories in the mystery, crime, suspense, and intrigue fields published within the U.S., and these great middle grade titles made the final cut!
Tune in to root for:
  • The Ghosts of Rancho Espanto by ADRIANNA CUEVAS. After a school prank goes horribly wrong, Rafael is sent to work on a ranch far out in New Mexico as punishment. But he's soon confronted with a troubling supernatural mystery, along with mounting troubles at home. With the help of the ranch manager and his new friends, can he get to the bottom of the mystery, and confront his grief along the way?
  • The Jules Verne Prophecy by LARRY SCHWARZ & IVA-MARIE PALMER. While spending the summer in Paris studying the author Jules Verne,  Owen and his friends discover a dusty copy of Verne’s collected works with hidden codes written inside. This leads them on an epic treasure hunt around the city, but they quickly realize they’re not the only ones searching for the hidden riches, and the others will stop at nothing to get to them first!
  • Epic Ellisons: Cosmos Camp by LAMAR GILES. Wiki and Leen are looking forward to their first summer apart, with Leen going to a high-tech STEM camp for inventors and Wiki staying home to run the family corn stand and hang out with friends. That is, until Wiki receives an acceptance letter to the same camp, and the girls find out it's because there's a dangerous mystery, and they've been asked to solve it! With so much at stake, will they be able to save their summers, and the world?
