From Source to Sea – Katie Hale
By Lancaster Litfest
Hosted by Cumbria-based poet and Litfest’s Poet in Residence, Katie Hale, this co-creation event will feature some of the best poems from the past written about rivers, their history, economy and ecology.
In the days leading up to the event, Katie Hale will curate a selection of up to 15 outstanding poems from those submitted to the poetry map by 10 March, and by 15 March Litfest will contact the selected poets to invite them to read their work either in person or online at the event.
After the event, all the submitted poems will remain online in our specially created Litfest poetry map.
Katie Hale is a Cumbria-based poet and novelist. In 2019 she published her first novel, My Name Is Monster (‘A terrific piece of writing; tough and tender and insightful. Loved it’ Joanne Harris). White Ghosts is her first poetry collection.
