The Litfest Big Read (8-11yrs): Frank Cottrell-Boyce - Noah’s Gold
By Lancaster Litfest
What would you do if you got stuck on an uninhabited island? Imagine there were no teachers, no food, the phones don’t work and there’s no easy way home! This is the set-up for Frank Cottrell-Boyce’s latest book Noah’s Gold which is Litfest’s (8–11 yrs) Big Read title this year. Will you accept the Big Read challenge and find out whether Noah and his gang are successful in their search for gold?
‘A writer of comic genius – he has something of Roald Dahl’s magic, but more heart’ Sunday Telegraph
Frank Cottrell-Boyce is one of the UK’s best-loved authors of comedy books for children. Frank won the Carnegie Medal with his first book Millions and is a hugely passionate voice for children’s books and for reading. Together with Danny Boyle, he devised the opening for the London Olympics in 2012.
