Part of the skillful writing that renders these streaming series so irresistible and dynamic lies in their use of the episodic, serialized form, a method that goes back to Dickens. This talk is less concerned with the "content" of the narrative than with the envelope of structuring surrounding it, offering a way to further appreciate the finesse of such productions.
