Designing Spaces For Teenage Girls - Introducing KORE

By Jupiter Play & Leisure

KORE is a groundbreaking new concept developed exclusively by Jupiter Play as a reimagining of the MUGA.

Current teenage provision tends to focus on a narrow range of facilities, such as a MUGA, a skate park, and a shelter. Recent research highlights that this kind of provision is tailored to the interests of a minority, it isn't working for most. Make Space for Girls' recent research report shows a shocking 90% of teenage play provision is dominated by boys, leaving girls feeling unsafe and unwelcome in these spaces.

We believe we can accomplish so much more.

KORE aims to reimagine public spaces as vibrant hubs of inclusivity and community engagement. Fueled by insights from the latest research, especially focusing on the preferences of teenage girls, KORE seeks to revolutionize urban design, fostering safety, empowerment, and a sense of belonging.

KORE seeks to rip up the rulebook.

Addressing the gaps in public space provision for teenage girls is not only a matter of rights and equality, but also a fundamental step toward fostering healthier communities, improving mental well-being, and ensuring that everyone, regardless of their gender, feels welcome and empowered in shared public spaces.

In essence KORE brings discovery, inclusivity, and community back to teenage provision.

Come along to learn more, engage in the discussion, and find out how KORE can help us provide better play spaces for all.
