Please join us on Friday October 23, 2026 for Super Cyber Friday.

Our topic of discussion will be “Hacking the Cat and Mouse Game: An hour of critical thinking about how we can do better than keeping up and how to disrupt it.”

Joining David Spark, producer of CISO Series for this discussion will be:

Special guests (which means we’re still in booking mode)

In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:

If the game is structurally rigged toward attackers is "keeping up" a strategy or just managed losing with better PR?

Attackers collaborate, share TTPs, and iterate rapidly on what works. Defenders operate in silos, protect proprietary data, and repeat each other's mistakes. How is that not a structural advantage for the attacker, with nothing to do with technology?

There's a difference between making your organization harder to breach and making the entire game less rewarding for adversaries. Are those the same goal, and can a single security leader even pursue the second one?

If you could shift one thing for attackers, which would change the game most durably?

Is there anyone in your organization has a financial incentive to keep the cat and mouse game going rather than end it, and are they in the room when you're setting strategy?

How has AI changed the dynamic of cat and mouse?

Is "assume breach" a philosophy that sharpens your defense, or one that preemptively concedes the idea of ever being ahead?

It all starts at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific. At the end of the hour [2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific] we'll switch gears to our meetup where everyone will get a chance to chat face to face.

We play games during the show, and some players can win prizes! Players in the US can receive prizes as gifts; those outside the US can win gift cards.

Super Cyber Fridays are open discussions where all viewers and listeners are welcome to become participants. Before the scheduled event, connect your webcam and microphone (avoid Bluetooth). During the discussion, if you have a question or comment, let it be known in the chat room and our producer will do his best to get as many of you into the conversation. We look forward to you joining us.
