International Women's Day 2023 | Closing the Digital Gender Gap in Supply Chain

By boom! Global Network

Women are being increasingly left behind in the digital gender divide – how can we make sure this doesn't happen in supply chain?

We have taken the United Nations theme for International Women's Day 2023 – DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality – as our inspiration for a special live panel discussion on 15 March 2023.

According to a World Economic Forum report, less than one-third of female students choose to study higher education courses in subjects like maths and engineering. This factor results in them being under-represented in STEM-related fields.

With numbers stacked against them, there are very few female role models and leaders in the technology space in supply chain.

Why is it important to have more women in supply chain tech? How can we change mindsets and encourage more women in supply chain to take up these roles? What barriers are they facing? What does success look like for those who have bridged the digital divide?

Join us on 15 March and be part of this important discussion – our host Melanie Salter will speak with our guest panel about their careers and personal experiences, and the tangible actions we can take to help women to thrive and advance in tech roles in supply chain.

Our guest panelists are:

⭐️ Boyana Petkova – Digital Supply Chain Transformation Leader at Johnson & Johnson

⭐️ Ashleigh Smith – Director, Process and Performance, Devices Supply Chain, at Microsoft

⭐️ Emel Aktas – Professor of Supply Chain Analytics at Cranfield University

Post your questions to our panelists during the session via live chat.

See you there!
