Is your tech biased? A conversation on Coded Bias

Coded Bias explores the fallout of MIT Media Lab researcher Joy Buolamwini´s startling discovery that facial recognition does not see dark-skinned faces and women accurately, and her journey to push for the first-ever legislation in the U.S. to govern against bias in the algorithms that impact us all.
Malii Watts Witten from Engage Between is facilitating a conversation on the subject with key experts from the industry:
Sujatha Kamma is cofounder of an AI startup- Santellect- healthcare and healthcare expert, digital health advocate, a fencer and a minimalist. She is passionate about big data, technology transformation, wholesome wellbeing and impact leadership.
Jada L. Shipp is a public health techie, Lego enthusiast and a sitting board member of the nonprofit, The Qonnection. Her passion is centered around using data and philanthropy to equitably broaden access to higher education as well as advocating for social responsibility in tech solutions.
Milena Pribić works on best practices for AI design and AI ethics at IBM. She creates/consults on material for all members of an AI team. She's also the Design focal point to IBM's internal AI Ethics board.
