Leslie Karst
The daughter of a law professor and a potter, Leslie Karst waited tables and sang in a new wave rock band before deciding she was ready for a “real” job and ending up at Stanford Law School. It was during her career as a research and appellate attorney in Santa Cruz, California, that she rediscovered her youthful passion for food and cooking and once more returned to school—this time to earn a degree in culinary arts. Leslie now pens the Lefty Award-nominated Sally Solari mysteries, a snarky culinary series set in Santa Cruz. Visit her at LeslieKarstAuthor.com
Ellen Byron

She’s the non-award-winning TV writer of shows like WINGS, JUST SHOOT ME and FAIRLY ODD PARENTS. She will be the 2023 Left Coast Crime toastmaster but considers her most impressive credit working as a cater-waiter for Martha Stewart.
Jennifer J. Chow
Jennifer J. Chow is the author of quirky cozy mysteries, including her Lefty Award-nominated Sassy Cat Mysteries. The first in the Sassy Cat series, Mimi Lee Gets A Clue, was selected as an OverDrive Recommended Read, a PopSugar Best Summer Beach Read, and one of BuzzFeed’sTop 5 Books by AAPI authors. Her upcoming series is the L.A. Night Market Mysteries, and the first book, Death by Bubble Tea, comes out on July 5.
