Please join us on Friday September 25, 2026 for Super Cyber Friday.

Our topic of discussion will be “Hacking Microsegmentation for Machine Workloads: An hour of critical thinking about how to reduce your attack surface from agentic threats. ”

Joining David Spark, producer of CISO Series for this discussion will be:

In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:

The industry has treated microsegmentation as a priority for years, and most organizations still haven't protected the majority of their critical systems. Is this a people problem, a tool problem, or an architectural problem with the approach itself?

If the fundamental unit of microsegmentation control, IP address and network topology, doesn't survive the environments it's trying to protect, are organizations buying a solution to the wrong problem?

Microsegmentation is widely described as too hard for most organizations to implement. What does "too hard" mean as a risk decision, and who in the organization actually owns it?

East-west traffic between machines is now the majority of enterprise network traffic, and most of it runs through infrastructure with no segmentation at all. Why does the perimeter still attract most of the investment?

Machine-to-machine authentication was designed for stable environments, not for workloads that migrate across clouds and spin up in seconds. How do you enforce segmentation on an identity that doesn't have a fixed address?

When an AI agent accomplishes something malicious while pursuing a legitimate goal, using valid credentials on legitimate connections, what exactly did your segmentation policy block?

Anthropic's models reached and compromised real organizations because evaluation environments had live internet access they weren't supposed to have. The models weren't misconfigured, the network policy was. What does that tell you about your own assumptions around what your machine workloads can reach?

Frontier AI systems are being deployed into infrastructure that hasn't been segmented to account for them. What's the blast radius assumption when the workload that gets compromised can autonomously reason about what to do next?

It all starts at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific. At the end of the hour [2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific] we'll switch gears to our meetup where everyone will get a chance to chat face to face.

We play games during the show, and some players can win prizes! Players in the US can receive prizes as gifts; those outside the US can win gift cards.

Super Cyber Fridays are open discussions where all viewers and listeners are welcome to become participants. Before the scheduled event, connect your webcam and microphone (avoid Bluetooth). During the discussion, if you have a question or comment, let it be known in the chat room and our producer will do his best to get as many of you into the conversation. We look forward to you joining us.
