AFA Fireside Chat: Rethinking the Stigma
By Alzheimer's Foundation of America
Many people are reluctant, ashamed, or embarrassed to tell others that dementia is in their life, but that can create a huge barrier to care, both for the person living with dementia and their family caregivers. This episode will discuss how to break down these barriers by further combatting the stigma surrounding dementia; steps society can take to become more dementia-friendly; and how to continue creating meaningful experiences for individuals living with dementia.
