The abortion ban disproportionately affects women of color, particularly Black women, who already face higher risks of health complications or death related to pregnancy or childbirth. About 40% of women who get abortions in the U.S. are Black, and advocates say abortion bans like Texas’ will increase their health and financial risks. In this current state, it's important that folks are equipped with medically-accurate information to make informed decisions.
