Environmentalist in Residence Meet & Greet

By TPL Programs

Meet our Environmentalist in Residence, Andrés Jiménez Monge!
Andrés is the Urban Program Coordinator at Birds Canada and a biologist with a focus on business and the environment. With a keen interest in snakes, frogs, birds and how human relationships are interconnected with the living world, Andrés started working in conservation and environmental management at the young age of fifteen years old.
Got questions about:
  • Birds or getting into birding?
  • How to be an environmental activist?
  • How to use photography with science to raise awareness about the environment?
Then join in on this interactive kick-off event to learn more about Andrés! Ask him questions related to his expertise and get a sneak preview of the programs and workshops he'll be offering during his residency from August 31 to November 6, 2020.
Andrés will appear in conversation with Janelle Richards, TPL's 2018 Environmentalist in Residence.
TPL's Environmentalist in Residence (EnvIR) serves as an industry expert in the area of conservation and sustainability, offering programs, workshops and community consultations. Originally to be hosted at the Agincourt Branch, you can now connect with our EnvIR virtually.
This event is the Live & Online version of Toronto Public Library's Our Fragile Planet program series.
