When and How to Use QBanks to Support Meaningful Learning

By TrueLearn

Many students in healthcare understand that retrieval practice is important and turn to question banks to support learning. However, students may not be doing so in the most effective and efficient ways. Learn how retrieval practice, paired with feedback and interleaving, can support student learning, and when and how to integrate question bank usage into their studying routines.

Learning Objectives:
  • Describe retrieval practice and the many ways it can be used to promote learning
  • Identify when and how to use question banks
  • Describe best practices for using question banks
Join Althea Need Kaminske, Senior Director of Student Academic Success at Indiana University School of Medicine, and Dr. Megan Sumeracki, Professor of Psychology at Rhode Island College, for a research-based webinar on using question banks to support meaningful learning.

All webinar attendees will receive the following after the event concludes:
  • Certificate of Attendance (COA)
  • Presentation Slides
Dr. Kaminske and Dr. Sumeracki are collaborators on The Learning Scientist, a project focused on translating cognitive science into effective classroom practices. Their shared work supports educators in applying research-backed strategies to improve learner outcomes in higher and professional education.
