The Application Framework aims to ease the development of distributed applications for µP-based ECUs. Key features of the framework are maximum re-use and collaboration through modularity in form of application modules, independence through a unified and non-automotive API that allows decoupling from lower-layer middleware stacks, and finally, extended developer support through a fully text-based workflow and generators that relief from all tasks that are repetitive or allow automation.
