The Season of the Dazzle: Islamic Finance and the New Economy
By Zebras Unite
In this session, we'll hear from Ameerah Langar (Falcon Network), Marwa Adawy (Yielders) and Umar Nasser (Rational Religion) on the ethos of the Islamic economy and how its financing principles make it a possible alternative to existing equity and debt-based solutions available to entrepreneurs. We'll hear how and why we can build a new post-COVID-19 and #BlackLivesMatter economy using Islamic systems like widespread ownership, a wealth tax, risk-sharing, responsible trade and the avoidance of interest.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Sheeza Shah (UpEffect).
