TV Staff Writer Boot Camp
By Chris Amick
In This Workshop
TV Writer and Producer Chris Amick will take students through the expectations for working in a professional TV writer's room before and during production. We will cover best practices, what to expect, how to prepare for your first day, first story break, first script, first notes meeting, first table read, and even your first day on set. This isn't a class about how to write TV, but how to be an indispensable member of a writing staff.
Who This Is For
Perfect for writers just about to begin their first job as Staff Writer, but this will be accessible to anyone interested in learning more about the job, or even those who have had some experience but want to learn how to make their next job even better.
What You Leave With
Students will leave with a printout cheat sheet of the best practices and tips to take into the job.
This 2-hour boot camp will be a deep dive into ways you can prepare yourself to be the best Staff Writer the Showrunner has ever worked with.
*Recording of the session will be available for those who cannot attend live. No refunds will be given, so make sure you can attend live at the scheduled time if you don't want to watch the recording
