Launched in 2021, STEM Stars is a Diversity Scholarship that exists to increase the number of underrepresented students in the actuarial science profession. For students with a strong math background, actuarial science can be an amazing career.  It is frequently listed as one of the top professions and the average starting salary is in the $75,000-$80,000 range.

Through the STEM Stars application, students will have access to up to $80,000 in college scholarships from various organizations and the possibility of an internship starting freshman year paying as much as $25 per hour. The program is focused on supporting Black/African American, Latinx, Native North American and Pacific Islander students.
