Co-founder and game designer at Tortugas Games, where he designs strategy-driven board games he wants to play, inspired by a lifelong love of everything from '90s CCGs and early MMOs to grand strategy games and PBTA tabletop RPGs. At Tortugas Games he is the co-creator and designer of Red Tides: A Tale of New Caribbea, as well the number cruncher, operations guy, and planner. He has spent 18+ years leading customer experience groups a variety of large video publishers and recently made the switch to education tech.

Micah Tyson is co-founder and creative director at Tortugas Games, where he is the artist, graphic designer, and visual world-builder behind Red Tides: A Tale of New Caribbea. In addition to producing over 1,000 hand drawn illustrations for Red Tides, he also moonlights as an Art Professor and Co-Chair of Art and Design at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi, where he brings the game into his classes as a live study in design process and iteration.

Artist, writer, and seasoned crowdfunding expert who has raised over $300K across seven successful campaigns since 2016.
