Last week, the HR tech industry was shaken by OpenAI’s announcement to build a job platform and AI training/certification program.

There have been numerous comments on LinkedIn and statements by journalists and influencers suggesting that OpenAI’s new job platform will render job boards obsolete.

People already assume that OpenAI will utilize AI and LLMs to deliver exceptional matching quality, something that no job board can compete with.
However, OpenAI does not have any strategic or technological advantages compared ot any job board out there.
