Ukrainian historian and public intellectual, Yaroslav Hrytsak discusses his new book that details the history of his nation through the major events, conflicts, and developments that have shaped it over the course of centuries.
In Ukraine: The Forging of a Nation, Hrytsak provides a comprehensive historical account of the country's cultural and political development. From the 17th-century Cossack uprising to the collapse of the USSR in 1991 and the recent Russian invasion, Hrytsak details the pride and resiliency of a nation and its people.
Canadian poet, biographer, and anthologist Rosemary Sullivan speaks with Professor Yaroslav Hrytsak about Ukraine: The Forging of a Nation.
