[12-18-20] Hacking the Crown Jewels - CISO Series Video Chat

By CISO Series

Please join us Friday, December 18th, 2020 for “Hacking the Crown Jewels: An hour of understanding what data you have, what's REALLY important, where it resides, and who's accessing it and when”.
When CISOs walk into a new company the top piece of information they'd like to know are what are the company's crown jewels. Unfortunately, either the business doesn't want to tell the CISO, or they simply don't know.
Let's delve into this question of what are the crown jewels and how do you understand its behavior with users and applications.
Joining David Spark (@dspark), producer of CISO Series for this discussion will be:
  • Kate Kuehn (@KateKuehn), svp, vArmour
  • Ramy Houssaini (@ramihoussaini) - chief cyber and technology risk officer and group privacy officer, BNP Paribas
In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:
  • What are your applications doing with your data?
  • Do you know where your data is?
  • What policies do you have attributed to your data?
  • How actively does security look at business process design, users, applications, and data?
  • Is there a way to keep data secure within applications even though employees are freely accessing it?
  • How can rules change for employees as their status change, without you having to constantly micromanage it?
It all starts at 10 AM Pacific/1 PM Eastern. At the end of the hour [11 AM Pacific/2 PM Eastern] we'll switch gears into a series of impromptu 1-on-1 five-minute meetings where everyone will be randomly paired. Nothing to prepare, we’ll do the matching.
HUGE thanks to our sponsors vArmour and Okera.

The CISO Series Video Chats are open discussion where all viewers and listeners are welcome to become participants. Before the scheduled event, connect your webcam and microphone (avoid Bluetooth) and test your equipment here. During the discussion, if you have a question or comment, let it be known in the chat room and our producer will do his best to get as many of you into the conversation. We look forward to you joining us.
