Danielle Barnes, CEO of Women Talk Design, and Michael Fredericks, president of Salt, share their stories and processes to make actionable change.
About the Speakers:
Danielle Barnes, CEO, Women Talk Design
Danielle Barnes is passionate about empowering designers and technologists at all stages in their careers. She co-founded and organizes Austin Design Week and worked for the tech education company General Assembly. She joined Women Talk Design in 2017. Women Talk Design works with individuals and businesses across the US to elevate women and gender non-binary speakers, empowers event organizers with resources to engage more diverse speakers, and offers training and support for new speakers. Michael Fredericks, Principal, Salt
Michael Fredericks is the president and majority owner of SALT, a small service-based company in Anchorage. She holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Washington and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Through Salt, Fredericks has expanded the traditional role of building designer to include consensus-building, strategic thinking, project process planning and implementation.
