Marek is a co-founder and CTO of cLabs, one of the companies contributing to the Celo Protocol, and President of Valora, an easy-to-use mobile wallet built on Celo. Earlier, he co-founded Locu, a machine learning venture-backed company that was acquired by GoDaddy. He is also an MIT PhD alumni and a former Facebook Fellow and has previously worked at Google, Microsoft Research, and Sun Labs.

Brandy believes in the power of decentralized technology to create a more equal, just, and prosperous society. That’s why she works at Celo with a team of talented individuals striving to build scalable blockchain-based opportunities that are accessible to everyone. She is passionate about software architecture, web3, mobile, enterprise, all things blockchain. She is the creator of the Udacity Blockchain Developer Nanodegree program with over 3,000 global graduates.

Celo Camp, created by Upright in collaboration with the Celo Foundation, is an 8-week virtual acceleration and mentorship program that helps decentralized technology founders and developers build sustainable businesses on Celo.

During the Camp, teams use Celo’s open-source tools for building mobile-first dApps and other financial services. With up to 150K cUSD in prizes, teams also receive entrepreneurship and technological guidance, a fast-track to grants, high exposure to investment opportunities, as well as mentorship from leaders from organizations like a16z, NFX, Electric Capital, and many more great organizations.
