Bricks Need Mortar is mobilized to provide desperately needed advocacy, connection and guidance to Oregon's Independent Retailers. We are driven to help independent retail survive and thrive through the current pandemic and into recovery. We believe that in moments of crisis as well as in prosperous times, Oregon retailers, as diverse and unique as they are, all face similar challenges. Addressing these shared challenges as a unified coalition is more effective and efficient than going it alone.

Our immediate focus is to unite and amplify the needs of the independent brick and mortar community.  Through advocacy, narrative and data we express that small businesses are essential assets to our neighborhoods, residents and our local economy.

We want to thank Little Boxes and Built Oregon for getting the conversation going and bringing together Oregon's independent retail community for an initial discussion just one week ago.

We believe in community over competition. Together we can resolve our shared challenges as a unified coalition.
