Educator Event Featuring Beth McMullen and James Ponti

We will share new 2021 and 2022 titles with a focus on books that support diversifying your collection, with a special appearance by the Simon & Schuster Associate Director of Children's Independent Retail Sales. We'll have updates on our virtual book fairs and virtual author visits available for the Fall.
The real star of our event is the conversation between two incredible fellow mystery authors and friends Beth McMullen and James Ponti. Beth's upcoming book The Midnight Market (out 8/31) is brimming with more quests, action, and humor, and is book two in the Lola Benko, Treasure Hunter series. What better conversation partner for her than award-winning James Ponti, whose latest book Golden Gate is the second book in the City Spies series, and has readers pacing in anticipation for what exciting missions come next!
Raffles are always a big part of our events. With huge thanks to the authors, our grand prize is a virtual classroom event with both James and Beth!
Your $20 registration fee provides you one of three options: a signed hardback copy of Golden Gate, book two in City Spies series by James Ponti (ages 8-12), a signed hardback copy of The Midnight Market, Book 2 in the Lola Benko, Treasure Hunter series by Beth McMullen (ages 9-13), or paperback copies of book #1 from both series.
All registrants will be entered into our raffle, winners will be selected at the conclusion of the event. We will also have the complete list of books we talked about available on our website, bbgbbooks.com.

About the authors
Beth McMullen is the author of the Mrs. Smith’s Spy School for Girls series; the Lola Benko, Treasure Hunter series; and several adult mysteries. Her books have heroes and bad guys, action and messy situations. An avid reader, she once missed her subway stop and rode the train all the way to Brooklyn because the book she was reading was that good.
