The ECA provides an overview of why we carry out periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations and what the fault coding means.

Shahid Khan is the technical manager for the ECA and is primarily involved with electrical standards committees and codes of practices. He is a degree-educated engineer, who holds a First Class Honours degree in Building Services Engineering. He possesses years of varied industry experience as well as a background in delivering accredited electrical training to blue-chip organisations. He is a Member of the IET, Won the Dean’s Prize for Excellence in Engineering and has recently been identified as a future standards maker as part of the IEC Young Professionals Program.
