Twilight Revelations: Episodes in the Life & Times of Emperor Haile Selassie explores and analyzes key moments, both public and private, in the life and reign of the Emperor. Using a wealth of archival footage and photographs, the film reexamines the imperial administration through the eyes of numerous individuals who played impor- tant roles in the monarchy. Demisse will also show excerpts from a new Ethiopian oral history project.

Yemane I. Demissie’s award winning films include two narrative features, Gir-gir (Tumult) and Dead Weight. He teaches directing, writing, production, film history and criticism at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
