In this virtual master class, renowned Santa Cruz-based vocalist Tammi Brown will teach aspiring singers how to achieve better control, increase their vocal range through specialized breathing techniques, and explore psychological challenges centered around singing.  This class will employ methods gleaned from masters such as Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn, and Brown will also share her own unique vocalization and improvisation tips. Participants will have a chance to sing along while gaining tools and insights that will greatly enhance their vocal abilities. The class will be followed by Q & A session moderated by jazz cellist and Kuumbwa Jazz Educator in Residence Dr. Renata Bratt.
