Identity in KILT consists of a decentralized identifier (DID) and the credentials linked to it. web3name allows you to represent the string of letters and numbers of the DID with a unique name. This name can be linked with your credentials and your addresses across the Polkadot ecosystem, adding an extra level of verification and trust to your identity.

This session includes an introduction to web3name and how it works, an outline of use cases, the web3name directory, and a demo to show you how you claim your own web3name. Each name is unique, so claim yours before it’s gone!
