Litfest are proud to partner with Graffeg to present a trio of authors and illustrators, Jackie Morris, Cathy Fisher and Nicola Davies, who will discuss their books and creative practice in a special event hosted from Jackie Morris' kitchen!
This event is free to attend and will be of particular interest for students of illustration, artists, Kate Greenaway shadowing group leaders and anyone with an interest in illustration and nature.
Jackie Morris lives in Wales where she writes and paints. She has two children, a small pack of dogs and a small pride of cats. Jackie exhibits her paintings in galleries nationwide. Her bestselling picture books include Tell Me a Dragon and Lord of the Forest. Jackie worked with Robert MacFarlane on Kate Greenaway award winning title, The Lost Words.

Nicola Davies has been fascinated by animals from the moment she could walk into the garden watching ants and worms. Nicola has written over 60 books for children including Last which she illustrated herself. The School Library Association awarded her for her outstanding contribution to information books. Nicola is a passionate advocate for illustration and was made Professor of Practice by Swansea University in 2019.

Cathy Fisher has been a teacher and artist all of her life and has worked in the UK, the Seychelles and Australia. Cathy’s first picturebook for Graffeg was Perfect written by Nicola Davies and was longlisted for Kate Greenaway Medal as was The Pond which the pair also collaborated upon.
