Musicality in dance is a measure to which a dancer is receptive and creative in their translation of music through movement and a key ingredient in a dancer’s display of artistry.

The main goal of this 3 hour workshop is to help dancers develop musical receptivity and artistry. Kami will reveal simple ways to approach listening to music to enable students to create their own dance interpretations through:

Developing a better understanding of how the music and dance relate to each other.

Improving the synchronicity of timing and flow with the music.

Learning about the unique layers and instrumentation in music.

This workshop will be a blend of conceptual and movement exercises, discussions, and a handout outlining the concepts covered. Class can either be taken live or you can catch the recording at your leisure.

Pricing: $45 if purchased before January 10th. Price will increase to $65 on January 11th.
