Migraine is a common, disabling neurological condition with two clear components. The underlying brain state that predisposes individuals to migraine attacks, and the individual repetitive attacks of headache. Despite headache being one of the most salient features, migraines are considered a brain state that is characterised by abnormal multi-sensory processing and integration. This seminar will focus on CNS neural networks that play a key role in multisensory integration and discuss how they play a key role in migraine.
