The first of five training webinars in this returning series, designed to help EIA practitioners understand and deliver effective practice, will see Josh Fothergill tackle the entry point to ever assessment conducted – screening procedures, practice, challenges and tips.

Screening may seem simple as it is the first step in beginning the EIA process, but many a development has come undone due to ineffective practice. It was also the part of the EIA process left most changed by the 2017 Regulatory changes. The webinar will provide Josh Fothergill’s expert views on: what constitutes effective EIA screening, what needs to be in a screening request and what should be avoided, how and when mitigation is valid in screening plus the risks it inevitably carries. Top tips on how both consultants and council planning officers approach and deliver screening will be discussed alongside the opportunity to ask your questions and discuss challenges from practice.

This EIA screening webinar will review the most challenged element of compliance with the EIA procedures, from the 2017 Regulatory changes, through good practice and case law, to alignment with subsequent applications and links to the scoping process.

This training webinar will cost £99 or is free of charge for Environment Analyst corporate members. If you are a corporate member please email sales@environment-analyst for access or use your member coupon code.
