Hear from local tech leaders! Industry professionals will share advice for networking with potential employers, provide insight into what tech companies are really looking for, and offer tips on how to stand out from the crowd. Panelists will also share their career journeys.
This workshop will consist of four panelists:
George Pu is the CEO of two tech startups, which he started in his second year in college. He started SimpleDirect, a buy-now-pay-later financial technology platform, and ANC Capital, a tech-empowered hedge fund. He is passionate about helping young entrepreneurs and individuals looking to get a career in tech.
Lindsay Lane is currently the Customer Success Leader at Uvaro. As a trusted Customer Success Leader, Lindsay is responsible for the ideation, development, and evolution of Uvaro’s Customer Success program to ensure all members of the Uvaro community realize value and achieve career success. She and her team act as trusted advisors, relentlessly monitoring product engagement and adoption to drive renewals and limit churn. Lindsay has a wealth of customer experience expertise that she has honed at some of Canada’s most successful software companies including; BlackBerry, OpenText, Igloo Software, and Axonify.
Jenushika Jeyakumaran is currently the Product Manager at a tech startup called iRestify. Jenushika loves being in the tech industry, helping to scale, and ship software that makes a difference. Jenushika also co-hosts a podcast, talking to entrepreneurs around the world.
Sageev Mathivanan has over 13 years of experience working in operations, sales, and sales leadership roles. His 3 previous roles were director level positions required to jump start sales and account management teams from scratch. He has recently started a sales role within CoachHub, an international digital coaching company that has just earned $200 Million in its series C funding. He combines his passion for coaching and soft skills development to help enterprise organizations develop their leaders while on a mission to democratize coaching across all staff levels.
This discussion will be facilitated by Ravi Ravindran. Ravi is a 4X startup founder, a former Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Toronto, and a Social Capitalist. Currently he is the CEO and cofounder of BLUMEx, an experiential media startup. BLUMEx automates the workflows of Podcasters, Streamers, and Creators. Their mission is to capture the stories of innovators advancing their ideas through startups, research, or intrapreneurship.
