Elaine Dewar: On the Origin of the Deadliest Pandemic in 100 Years
By TPLCulture
The COVID-19 virus has completely changed how we navigate the world and as we slowly start to rebuild and relearn - there are still so many important questions left unanswered about the deadliest pandemic in our lifetime.
Veteran journalist Elaine Dewar spent the better part of our collective lockdown asking poignant questions in hopes of better understanding how this pandemic took over the planet. In her newest book On the Origin of the Deadliest Pandemic in 100 Years, Dewar sets out on a mission to unravel the tangled web of science, politics and money surrounding the pandemic. As she navigates the related players, Dewar turns the spotlight on the Wuhan Lab, the Chinese government, the Winnipeg-based National Microbiology Lab, the WHO and so many other suspects in this real life mystery.
Elaine Dewar joins the Toronto Star's Saba Eitizaz to discuss On the Origin of the Deadliest Pandemic in 100 years and the importance of asking tough questions during tough times.
