As the pandemic continues to alter the fabric of our society, recent studies show that women continue to be the hardest hit by the economic fallout from COVID-19. Despite enduring these hardships, women continue to be our primary caregivers, direct service providers and much- needed leaders in our communities.
In Lauren McKeon’s new book Women of the Pandemic: Stories from the Frontlines of COVID-19, the author revisits the early months of the health crisis through the eyes of several women whose perseverance and resilience helped Canada navigate the global pandemic.
