As our population approaches retirement age, the state of our long term care facilities and retirement homes are highly questionable. The pandemic showed us how broken that system has been for years and how new approaches and thinking towards our ageing population are needed.

Two Canadian authors have spent years exploring the state of long term care, here at home and beyond. In this conversation, we engage André Picard author of Neglected No More: The Urgent Need to Improve the Lives of Canada's Elders in the Wake of a Pandemic, and Moira Welsh author of Happily Ever Older: Revolutionary Approaches to Long-Term Care to look at what lessons can be learned from past failures and successes and how we might apply those to our national senior care policies.
