Join Mary Annette Pember and Andrea González-Ramírez in conversation with Alissa Figueroa to discuss their fellowship stories, “The Catholic Church Siphoned Away $30 Million Paid to Native People for Stolen Land,” and “In Puerto Rico, an Epidemic of Domestic Violence Hides in Plain Sight.”
Andrea González-Ramírez is a senior writer at Gen from Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, now based in New York. She's a 2019-20 Ida B. Wells Fellow with Type Investigations.
Mary Pember is a national correspondent for Indian Country Today and a citizen of the Red Cliff Band of Ojibwe based in Cincinnati. She's a 2019-20 Ida B. Wells Fellow with Type Investigations.
Alissa Figueroa is senior editor and senior producer at Type Investigations, where she oversees the Ida B. Wells Fellowship program and its broadcast partnerships.
