In part one of our Technical Academies for professional advisers, Utmost Technical Sales Manager, Steve Sayer, will provide and overview on UK taxation and Bonds including how portfolio bonds are structured.

Steve will be joined by Simon Martin, Utmost Wealth Solutions Technical Services Manager and John Albon, Taxation and Trust Specialist for an interactive Q&A session.

Steve has over 20 years’ experience in the international life assurance sector. During this time he has provided tax and trust technical services, specialising in non-domicile and IHT planning. He also has experience of cross-border planning and the development of products for the UK high-net-worth market.

He has regularly delivered workshops and seminars to financial advisers and private bankers in both the UK and Switzerland.

Simon has been in financial services since 1998 in a variety of roles. He is currently the Technical Services Manager for Utmost Wealth Solutions, providing technical assistance to internal and external customers. He is currently chair of the Manx Insurance Association’s technical committee and regularly writes technical articles for the trade press.

John has been in financial services since 1998 undertaking a variety of both technical and sales roles. He is currently the Tax & Trusts Specialist for Utmost Wealth Solutions providing technical assistance, both internally and to our distribution team, on both taxation and trust based issues. He is also the lead contact for our UTAS service providing reports on trusts, wills and settlements.
