Join Kinney Rorrer - historian, musician, and host of the County Sales Radio Hour - as he shares his incredible knowledge and spins some of his favorite 78 RPM discs on the old “talking machine”!
Kinney Rorrer is an avid collector of classic and rare 78-rpm recordings and vintage instruments. Kinney grew up deeply immersed in old-time music, and has become one of its foremost ambassadors and is considered the premiere scholar and performer of the three-finger banjo style first popularized by the great “North Carolina Rambler,” Charlie Poole.
Kinney is a descendant of Poole and the grandson of Poole’s legendary fiddler Posey Rorer. He delights and educates listeners every week with his weekly mountain music radio program in collaboration with County Sales with the County Sales Radio Hour which airs on Radio Bristol and on the County Sales website.
