Handmade at Home - A Virtual Workshop Series

Music Fun with Kari at Home - Winter Edition

* Cost is $30, which includes access to a recording of the class. This class is available all winter season!

Are you afraid you'll go stir-crazy this winter? Don't! Pull out the pots and pans and instruments you have at home and join Kari whenever you like, for 30+ minutes of musical fun for your 1 to 6 year old child. Some people are even using it everyday for quality educational entertainment at home. Kari's joyful interactive family music classes have been a hit for years every Friday morning on the Floyd Country Store dance floor. Now enjoy Music Fun with Kari at Home, the next best thing to being there. Her winter set includes songs about bears, sneezes, snow, owls, and ponies. It captures the magical quiet of this time of year, but also the raucous fun of animals coming out of sleep and into play. She'll have your child galloping, stomping, scurrying and even swinging through the jungle with big body action. She'll "Ring in the New Year" with jingle bells, and explore all kinds of ways to make sounds with drums. You will be amazed at how quickly your child (and maybe you?) will be able to play along with a steady beat, and sing along with gusto.

This class is presented in partnership with Kari Kovick's Heart of the Child Music Education Program. Class launch time is Friday January 22nd, 2021 at 10:30 am ET. You do not have to be present that day to access the replay.

Curious about instruments? You can buy Kari's instrument bags from the Floyd Country Store website's shop https://www.floydcountrystore.com/shop/Heart-Of-The-Child-Music-Instrument-Bag-p286660023, or improvise at home with plastic containers and kitchen utensils.
